Wanted to blog like every day continuously but I got lazy and caught up with things :p
So for this post, I'm gonna be writing short reviews on some make up stuffs that I have.
When I said short, I mean reeeeeaaalllyyy short :p
First of all, I'll be talking about Urban Decay's All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.
And it's supposed to be long-lasting. They have other ranges that would help in oil-controlling and hydrating.
Got it in the 50ml version which was the smaller version from a Sephora outlet because it was so happened to be Christmas season so they sell smaller version of makeups to be given as Christmas gifts but to me, it was a great chance to try out new products in a smaller and cheaper version just in case I did like it or it'll burn a big hole in my wallet.
Got this for around RM 50 and it's in the smaller version because I wanna try it out to see whether it works or not because the normal sized bottle costs around RM 100 and it's actually quite pricey for me and huge risk for me to take not knowing whether it actually works for me. Very risky.
I did not take pictures of the box but I'll just type out what does the box says here.
Stop makeup meltdown with this groundbreaking clinically tested formula. All Nighter mists on weightlessly to keep your makeup looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours without melting, cracking, fading or setting into fine lines. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day. For all skin types.
Then they have this stats of some study that they conducted on this product. Something about helped the participants make up to last for 16 hours then making their makeup look better and stayed up better and also this product was the best product to make their makeup last.
My first impression of this product : it looks very legit. It looked like it was going to work for me and help me to set my makeup for a good 12 hours or the whole day. Actually the box said 16 hours. Based from the box, can you actually see and understand why I got this product ?!?! Well played there.
What do I think about it ? Heh, I think based from how I described this product. It is very obvious that it did not really work for me. I didn't find much differences if I put this to set my makeup but I still spray it anyway because mentality. It's like I have to put the finishing to my makeup so I just spray it.
What do I mean by not much difference ? At the end of the day or my night (especially clubbing/drinking nights), my makeup still smudges and I don't find much difference. Although, it DID helped setting my makeup a LITTLE bit.
Sorry if you got confused there. So in conclusion, it did helped in setting my makeup and making it last longer a little bit. It did had a little bit difference but not a huge drastic difference like how I expected it to be. Like totally hold my makeup into place and no smudges at all.
And yeah, I still do spray it and use it because it still helps in making my makeup last for a little while. Little while could be a span of 2 hours ?
However, I do find that it really helps in blending my makeup. My makeup looks so smooth and blended after I spray it. Especially my face, it looks very airbrushed. And it has a nice soft scent to it.
But do take note : spray this before putting on any non-waterproof makeup/products as it would obviously melt and smudge the makeup/products !
So I guess the reasons why I'm still using this product although it didn't not help me so much are :
- it blends my make up after putting on everything (airbrushed face !!)
- it kinda help in making my make up last longer like 2 hours extra

The next and final product that I would be reviewing for this post would be the
NARS Smudgeprood Eyeshadow Base.
So obviously it's an eye makeup primer and I was searching for a really good one because I have VERY OILY eyelids !!! >:(
Before this, I did not wanna get and believe in eye primers because I did not want to spend much just to get a freaking primer and I need to add another step in my makeup routine like meeehhh, no tenks but I ended up getting Etude House's one because it was cheap so I decided to give it a try.
And yeah. before getting an eye primer, I thought I would have to find a really good eyeliner because it could the eyeliners that I've used that weren't good enough.
Idk is it me or you know, when you don't put any product like foundation or BB/CC cream onto your eye area, that area tend to look really different in terms of colours because duh. I find that if I put eye primer, that area doesn't look so dull and out of place. So, wow, magic potion ?!
Maybe there are people who put foundation/BB/CC cream onto your eye area but I don't because as said earlier, I have very oily eyelids so putting those products on my eye area would just make my eye makeup smudge even worst and at a faster rate.
So, I was trying to google for opinions or reviews for a good eye makeup primer, I find a lot of people are talking about NARS being the best among all. Most of the people recommended this and saying that it really worked so I decided to get it and went to the only NARS outlet in Malaysia which is in Pavilion. Got it around RM 100 if I'm not mistaken. Could be more or less. I forgot.
First day trying it and it gave me a really good impression like WHOA MAGIC POTION !! I HAVE FOUND MIRACLE AND SOLUTION FOR MY VERY OILY EYELIDS !!
Wow, it really worked and gave me a really good impression. So I went and tweeted about it (screenshot above)
Plus, removing my eye makeup was so much cleaner and easier because normally I would look like I have panda eyes after removing my eye makeup because the eyeliner would smudge around but wearing this eye primer makes it so much cleaner and easier. After removing my makeup, no panda eyes !
So that was ONLY my first impression.
After that I've been using this as a part of my makeup routine because stupid oily eyelids.
I got so excited about it that I tried using it with previous eyeliners that have failed on me and left a lot of smudges, turning me into some panda at the end of the day.
Results ? They still do smudge but not as bad as not wearing the eye primer at all. I guess that my eyelids are too oily and the humid weather here :/
As I use this product, it wasn't as perfect and flawless like how my first impression was. I still do get smudges but not as bad as not putting on the eye primer and ahaha, somehow I still do get panda eyes once in a while somehow whut :(
Overall, this product really works but not 100% for me because my eyelids are just too oily :/
Or maybe perhaps, I should try another eye primer next time. In hopes that it would work better for me than this but for now, this is my holy grail product.
Just in case you wanna know what eyeliners I've used. I'll state them below.
As for the eyeliners that I'm using and used that works well for me (very oily eyelids) are :
1. Face Shop Care Pen Eyeliner
2. Clio Waterproof Brush Kill Black
3. Maybelline HyperSharp Liner
Although all of them still smudge/flake on me at the end of the day but it still works well for me somehow than other eyeliners that I've tried.
The Clio's one was so freaking expensive like RM 50 plus ?! And it wasn't so pigment/dark. However, this does not smudge but it flakes at the end of the day or if I rub my eyes.
I'm currently using the Maybelline eyeliner but released another version which I did not really like so I would buy the Heroine Make's newest eyeliner as my next eyeliner as I heard there's good reviews about it and the new formula is said to last longer.
As for the Maybelline's and Face Shop's eyeliners, they do smudge but it's only if I draw on the very outer corner of my eye. If I don't draw on the outer corners of my eyes, then I do not have any problem with it especially the Maybelline's one. So I can say that the Maybelline HyperSharp Liner (the old yellow one) is my holy grail for now. I hope the Heroine Make's one would also work well for me !
That's all for now :)
