Short reviews

Hello ! I'm back again :)

Wanted to blog like every day continuously but I got lazy and caught up with things :p

So for this post, I'm gonna be writing short reviews on some make up stuffs that I have.
When I said short, I mean reeeeeaaalllyyy short :p

First of all, I'll be talking about Urban Decay's All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.

And it's supposed to be long-lasting. They have other ranges that would help in oil-controlling and hydrating.

Got it in the 50ml version which was  the smaller version from a Sephora outlet because it was so happened to be Christmas season so they sell smaller version of makeups to be given as Christmas gifts but to me, it was a great chance to try out new products in a smaller and cheaper version just in case I did like it or it'll burn a big hole in my wallet.

Got this for around RM 50 and it's in the smaller version because I wanna try it out to see whether it works or not because the normal sized bottle costs around RM 100 and it's actually quite pricey for me and huge risk for me to take not knowing whether it actually works for me. Very risky.

I did not take pictures of the box but I'll just type out what does the box says here.

Stop makeup meltdown with this groundbreaking clinically tested formula. All Nighter mists on weightlessly to keep your makeup looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours without melting, cracking, fading or setting into fine lines. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day. For all skin types.

Then they have this stats of some study that they conducted on this product. Something about helped the participants make up to last for 16 hours then making their makeup look better and stayed up better and also this product was the best product to make their makeup last.

My first impression of this product : it looks very legit. It looked like it was going to work for me and help me to set my makeup for a good 12 hours or the whole day. Actually the box said 16 hours. Based from the box, can you actually see and understand why I got this product ?!?! Well played there.

What do I think about it ? Heh, I think based from how I described this product. It is very obvious that it did not really work for me. I didn't find much differences if I put this to set my makeup but I still spray it anyway because mentality. It's like I have to put the finishing to my makeup so I just spray it.

What do I mean by not much difference ? At the end of the day or my night (especially clubbing/drinking nights), my makeup still smudges and I don't find much difference. Although, it DID helped setting my makeup a LITTLE bit.

Sorry if you got confused there. So in conclusion, it did helped in setting my makeup and making it last longer a little bit. It did had a little bit difference but not a huge drastic difference like how I expected it to be. Like totally hold my makeup into place and no smudges at all.

And yeah, I still do spray it and use it because it still helps in making my makeup last for a little while. Little while could be a span of 2 hours ?

However, I do find that it really helps in blending my makeup. My makeup looks so smooth and blended after I spray it. Especially my face, it looks very airbrushed. And it has a nice soft scent to it.

But do take note : spray this before putting on any non-waterproof  makeup/products as it would obviously melt and smudge the makeup/products !

So I guess the reasons why I'm still using this product although it didn't not help me so much are :
- it blends my make up after putting on everything (airbrushed face !!)
- it kinda help in making my make up last longer like 2 hours extra

The next and final product that I would be reviewing for this post would be the
NARS Smudgeprood Eyeshadow Base.

So obviously it's an eye makeup primer and I was searching for a really good one because I have VERY OILY eyelids !!! >:(

Before this, I did not wanna get and believe in eye primers because I did not want to spend much just to get a freaking primer and I need to add another step in my makeup routine like meeehhh, no tenks but I ended up getting Etude House's one because it was cheap so I decided to give it a try.

And yeah. before getting an eye primer, I thought I would have to find a really good eyeliner because it could the eyeliners that I've used that weren't good enough.

Idk is it me or you know, when you don't put any product like foundation or BB/CC cream onto your eye area, that area tend to look really different in terms of colours because duh. I find that if I put eye primer, that area doesn't look so dull and out of place. So, wow, magic potion ?!

Maybe there are people who put foundation/BB/CC cream onto your eye area but I don't because as said earlier, I have very oily eyelids so putting those products on my eye area would just make my eye makeup smudge even worst and at a faster rate.

So, I was trying to google for opinions or reviews for a good eye makeup primer, I find a lot of people are talking about NARS being the best among all. Most of the people recommended this and saying that it really worked so I decided to get it  and went to the only NARS outlet in Malaysia which is in Pavilion. Got it around RM 100 if I'm not mistaken. Could be more or less. I forgot.

First day trying it and it gave me a really good impression like WHOA MAGIC POTION !! I HAVE FOUND MIRACLE AND SOLUTION FOR MY VERY OILY EYELIDS !!

Wow, it really worked and gave me a really good impression. So I went and tweeted about it (screenshot above)

Plus, removing my eye makeup was so much cleaner and easier because normally I would look like I have panda eyes after removing my eye makeup because the eyeliner would smudge around but wearing this eye primer makes it so much cleaner and easier. After removing my makeup, no panda eyes !

So that was ONLY my first impression.

After that I've been using this as a part of my makeup routine because stupid oily eyelids.

I got so excited about it that I tried using it with previous eyeliners that have failed on me and left a lot of smudges, turning me into some panda at the end of the day.

Results ? They still do smudge but not as bad as not wearing the eye primer at all. I guess that my eyelids are too oily and the humid weather here :/

As I use this product, it wasn't as perfect and flawless like how my first impression was. I still do get smudges but not as bad as not putting on the eye primer and ahaha, somehow I still do get panda eyes once in a while somehow whut :(

Overall, this product really works but not 100% for me because my eyelids are just too oily :/

Or maybe perhaps, I should try another eye primer next time. In hopes that it would work better for me than this but for now, this is my holy grail product.

Just in case you wanna know what eyeliners I've used. I'll state them below.

As for the eyeliners that I'm using and used that works well for me (very oily eyelids) are :

1. Face Shop Care Pen Eyeliner
2. Clio Waterproof Brush Kill Black
3. Maybelline HyperSharp Liner

Although all of them still smudge/flake on me at the end of the day but it still works well for me somehow than other eyeliners that I've tried.

The Clio's one was so freaking expensive like RM 50 plus ?! And it wasn't so pigment/dark. However, this does not smudge but it flakes at the end of the day or if I rub my eyes.

I'm currently using the Maybelline eyeliner but released another version which I did not really like so I would buy the Heroine Make's newest eyeliner as my next eyeliner as I heard there's good reviews about it and the new formula is said to last longer.

As for the Maybelline's and Face Shop's eyeliners, they do smudge but it's only if I draw on the very outer corner of my eye. If I don't draw on the outer corners of my eyes, then I do not have any problem with it especially the Maybelline's one. So I can say that the Maybelline HyperSharp Liner (the old yellow one) is my holy grail for now. I hope the Heroine Make's one would also work well for me !

That's all for now :)

Short post for 2015 !

Okay I should probably stop blabbering and promising to myself or other people that I will start posting more on my blog from now on because I tend to break them. Reminiscing the times where I kept updating my blog and was so diligent about it.

I have many reasons why but I guess it's not necessary for me to explain why. If that made sense.

Really, all these while I've been wanting to update my blog but I just don't have the time or I'm tired or I didn't know what to write.

First post for 2015 and my semester break just started. To make it more dramatic, it's (could) be my last semester break ever and that I'm gonna close the chapter of being a student really soon. Scary.

Time flies, I'm actually gonna finish my degree soon already ! And start being a true grown up. No more a student. Sadly, this blog doesn't have my WHOLE entire journey but its existence somehow..contains memories..I don't know. Bleh, I became bad in putting/typing my words out here than what's in my mind !

Argh, okay enough with the blabbering. Actually, I got topics that I would like to blog about but it's either halfway written in my drafts or mind :p

Okay, okay. Just a short post. Would be about fashion. Just sharing some ootd pictured here and hopefully become some inspirations for some people who might find it interesting. Idk :)

Dress : H&M
Caged bralet : Some booth from Markets@Jaya One
Shoes : Nike Roshe Run
Handbag : Longchamp

Location of this pretty place would be somewhere in Bangsar. Just right beside PULP, it's some printing factory which is a pretty cool place actually !!

Photographer would be my #noobbf : Eubie Tan

I've a thing for florals actually !! And last time, I hardly wear black clothes but idk why but I think I prefer black clothes now. Because it looks edgy (?) or cool (heh) or it's just very easy to match and look nice ! I was afraid that wearing black in this sunny hot Malaysia would make me melt even more because black absorbs heat heh heh.

I purposely bought this dress just to make with my caged bralet which I finally got it after wanting it for a long time and I even got it at a cheap price which I forgot how much was it :p

So yeah, I like the combination of these bralet and dress. Although stick-on bra sounds like a great option but I worried that I'll sweat a lot and it'll get gross and all and it's gross bleh blek. Ok maybe in the future I might change my mind about it but oh well tmi ;p

Didn't want to look too girly so I match it up with my current favourite sneakers which is obviously my loyal Roshes ! Finally got the colourway that I really liked at a cheap price !! Now the price went up like mad wtf. Roshes is counted as a comfy shoes but I heard there's more sneakers which are more comfy than it which are the Adidas Boost series and more which you can google up :)

And I like how everything is all black including my bag that makes it look even more bad-@$$ than girly ! Hehe so blessed to get this bag actually :) it's the coolest bag :)

Later on that day, I ended going for some fancy smancy high class place for dinner which was very impromptu and I was surprised that I managed to walk inside/around like this without being stopped or what so ever ! Haha seriously going to such place which Roshes *insert crying while laughing emoji*

White floral hairbun accessory : Diva (which no longer existed here)
Floral crop top : Some booth from Markets@Jaya One
Hand accessories : Actually they don't matter. Just a watch and bracelets that I wear every day.

Photographed by my friend, Chea < talented guy :p

Actually what wasn't shown in the picture was my shoes !! Was wearing a mint green canvas loafers from Cotton On.

This was an outfit that I wore for my presentation. Eheheh yes presentation. I feel very grateful to be able to have such freedom and flexibility for being a designer eheheh. Actually there wasn't any need to dress up but I wanted to anyway.

And yeah, I often tie up hair buns and the floral accessory is suitable for this hair do and I loovveee florals so yeah :) Too bad there's no more Diva around here but hey, there's Lovisa !

As said before, I looveee florals so hence, the crop top ! :) And decided to pair it up for something high waisted which is this pants I got from Tuesday Couture ! Tuesday Couture is one of my favs to shop and the service is good and fast. Very friendly. Especially the owner :)

Cape dress : Tuesday Couture
Shoes : Nike Roshe Run

Photographed by my friend, Chea

Location of this place would be Empire Damansara. Such a nice place and background !! Just gotta do some walking to discover such pretty places !

A black cape dress. Something different. I like clothes that gotta do with cape somehow. Something different :) When I saw this dress on Tuesday Couture's website, I knew that I gotta have this ! Although I have someone in my class that have a black cape dress too, but it's just nice somehow !
But too bad, they don't sell it anymore on Tuesday Couture's website.

I've been really loyal to my Roshes. They are very comfy and I'm glad that I can match it up with almost anything in my closet !

As for the hair, I wanted to do something different that I normally do since I'm already looking different with the cape dress. Heheh ended up looking like Sailor Moon. My fav !!

Earrings : Redeye
Cardigan : Topshop
Black crop top : Padini
High waisted jeans : H&M
Shoes : Nike Roshe Run

Photographed by Chea

Location : Avenue K carpark ahahah

Again with the Roshe, told ya that I'm very loyal ! :p

Just a simple outfit for a long day out in the mall.

My cardigan is so comfy and finally managed to find one that I really liked ! I like this cardigan coz it's very easy to pair it up with other clothes. However, this cardigan can be found easily actually like almost everywhere. Tuesday Couture is selling a longer version here.

As for my earrings, hahaha !

Hahaha tadaaa ! so cute right ?! Florals !!

Actually I saw Bubzbeauty's Instagram post and I actually fell in love with it !
I was like "I'm gonna find you, and get you *insert determination face*"

Then she posted a vlog and mentioned where she got it. And then I quickly went to the nearest Redeye outlet which was thankfully really close to me and I managed to find it !!!! SO HAHAHAH.

Not to mentioned the Redeye in Sunway Pyramid is now very big and heavenly ! *glittering eyes*

Dress : Twenty3

Photographed by my sister and I can proudly say that I'm the art director here pls ahahah.
Location : Syuen Hotel in Ipoh, Perak

I was back there for a shot visit during Chinese New Year ! Like how it looks very classy and vintage-ish. Makes me feel nostalgic somehow.

I love this dress and the heels !! Love love !!
Like how the dress got the cuttings at the sides there and how this heels can be so comfy ?!!

--

Floral hairclips : I forgot where heh
Floral romper & heels : Tuesday Couture

Mad love for this floral romper !! It was like it was made for me !! Mint green + pink is the combination of both of my fav colours and not to mention that it's floral and it's a romper that looks like a dress !!

When I first saw this, I immediately wanted to get it but it sold out quite fast. Thanks to the customer service which was the owner herself, who was really friendly and helpful, I managed to get it !! :)

Paired up with the heels and floral hair clips to compliment one and another :) Very floral-ish and girly theme for Chinese New Year.

Photographed by my sister and location was in hometown.

Heheh said that it'll be a short post but ended up being quite long.

Till then.

Hopefully there'll be more posts as it's my semester break now and I have the blogging mojo./determination to update my blog with interesting stuffs ! :)

Driving in Malaysia

Okay. Hehe I guess that my blogging mojo is still here ? This shall be a ranting post since it's been a long time since I did one.

2 nights ago, I thought that I was almost going to get into an accident.
Okay la, just like a minor one. But still, what ever accident is still gonna traumatise me/you/whoever physically and mentally.

Here's how it went :

I was driving home using LDP at 1 am and then the route I was taking, they had some lane closures like first it's the left side that's closed then after that, approximately 1km after that, the right lane was closed. And when either one lane is closed, the other side is open for drivers to switch lanes.

Most of the time when I drive, I like to stay at the right side of the lane which is the fast lane since well, I'm always rushing and always being late and I hate being on the slow lane and being slow. (P.s. Screw you fast lane hoggers hehe haha)

But that time, I decided to stay on the left lane because I didn't feel like driving so fast and pressing on the accelerator and burn more petrol (since petrol isn't that cheap anymore) and that night was like a slow night drive alone for me. Plus, I don't know why I thought of death that time as well haha.
And not forgetting, that time of the night, that road, normally people would like to drive fast especially on the right lane. Fast I mean like super fast and I wasn't up for that.

So, I managed to pass through the first closure which closed on the right lane and I was at the left lane all the time. Then from a distance, I could see that they closed the left lane, so I had to switch to the right lane. Before I could switch lanes, I saw a car coming from the right lane and it was coming fast so I was just stuck in left lane until the place they closed the lane and I had to press the brakes before I collide into anything (it was just the plastic cones and all) and I panicked and I desperately signalled and had to last minute switch lane but that fast car was too fast and ignorant of my situation.

Luckily, there was a police patrol behind and on the siren and gave that car a warning to give me way before I actually collide into anything. I thought the police was going to stop the car and all but oh well. Everything happened so fast. In seconds. As if the way I described it, it happened real slow but it wasn't. Such a selfish car. I mean I understand if it's like me cutting your queue and all but this is a lane being closed and people had to switch lanes. Where did your sense of humanity go? Are Malaysian drivers really that bad? Err actually yes. And all you care is just driving fast. You want to die young and fast but please do not involve other people.

Speaking of Malaysian drivers, yes, I admit that I can be a bad driver too haha but it sickens me. It starts from one person who's doing it then the other starts. Hate it when people are tail gating me. I always have that strong urge to just press the brakes out of nowhere because at the end, it's your loss.

I hate it when people drive expensive and luxury cars and then it means that it gives them the privilege to drive fast and like an arrogant bastard wtf seriously. Actually, there's some cheap cars does that to but still. It's some sort of mentality that we all have plus it is also a fact that expensive and luxury car drivers drive like that.

Oh, don't get me started about taxi drivers. It is no wonder that people prefer to use uber. Think of yourself and reflect yourself why people prefer uber. Ok, not all taxi drivers are bad but still. Overcharging, not using the meter, dirty and smell seats, rude and drives like an a-hole.

And to be honest, I don't really like motorcyclist too. They can be annoying at times too haha. Plus, pedestrians who simply cross the road but they think that we drivers know what to do and avoid them.

Lastly, people who cut queues zzzzz plssss. Do you know how to queue? Because of you, there's delays and jam. Selfish. But yeah I'm also guilty for that tho haha. I mean not like I cut queue just because I don't want to queue. No. I won't do that. When I had to switch lanes and turn to somewhere or when I came out from somewhere and there's a long queue all the way back that I had to cut queue so that I can use the route to had to somewhere I'm going. Oh well.

Okay I think that's all I want to rant for now about the drivers here. Bye.

Sunday at map's

Hello !

Suddenly found a time to finally update my blog. I'm so sorry that it took forever and I finally got my blogging mojo back (err, will it last long ?) and I hope it will stay for long !

I finally managed to spare some time to finally blog because it's something I've been wanting to do for a very very long time !

So, here's a recent update of myself.

Flashback to last Sunday.

I actually like the idea of having brunch at a breakfast place/cafe on a Sunday. Don't know why but it makes me feel relaxed in a way I guess ? And make myself (and my tummy) happy hehe.

So, instead of going somewhere far like TTDI, decided to go somewhere near for a change and happen to find Map's that is located in PJS 11 which is Sunway (?)

And oh, it's NON-HALAL.

Following the map that leads to you. 😋

A photo posted by Lee Ann  (@limleeann) on

I had some macaroni with minced pork meat and tomato sauce which tasted like good as a meal to eat and bf had some porky pancakes which is pancakes with pork bacon slices, sunny side up eggs and roasted potatoes. It taste good as well and it kinda made me feel like cooking myself one if I can someday :)

Didn't take much pictures because our phones ran out of memory. Hah, so much for being a photo hoarder myself :(

Anyway, the picture is from my Insta and it pretty said much of what I had there which isn't bad :)
I mean, it was good like a 6 to 7.5 over 10.

And the atmosphere there was chilling, relaxing and calming. Not forgetting quiet. It's like a nice place to do assignments or have a chat there and also having a cup of coffee or eating brunch like me hehe.

After that, it started to rain real heavily and I've been wanting to go to Desa Parkcity for a long time because I like going there in the evening and take a walk there (haha all the way there so far)

Oh well, nothing much happened after that except that, that day was the last day of my mid-sem break. Meh.

Will be back to update more soon (I hope!)

Since the year is ending. Should have a nutshell post to summarize my year, I guess.

Bye.
